Occupation Civil Engineer Biographical Text João d´Arga e Lima is a Portuguese engineer. He is known for a number of important positions that he held throughout his career, including research engineer, head of the structural division and specialist engineer of the structural division of LNEC (Laboratório Nacional de Engenharia Civil). Also of his authorship are works of great relevance in the areas of engineering and construction, such as Esforços de Rotura em Elementos de Betão Armado, from 1958, and Manuel de Betão Armado, which he shares the authorship with Teixeira Coelho and Victor Monteiro.
